JKN Rachael Bright
In 2005, I took up Kuk Sool Won after persuading my father to take me to the opening night of KSW Sudbury. I wanted to learn self defence and the personal discipline that comes from practising a martial art. After the first lesson I was hooked and after years of training have attained a first degree Black Belt (Jo Kyo Nim).
I’m now looking forward to training with the many different weapons, particularly twin swords. I’ve won numerous medals in competitions, the highlight being a gold medal at the European Championships.
My other interests include fishing, painting and playing the XBox! Although, now I’m at university there will be many more interests to add to this list...
